Hi Guys.
Well, I am almost online. I never realised how inconvenient modems are until I had to use one while waiting for the Visa to come through...
I'm going to work at Relic in Vancouver soon, just waiting for the visa, then I'll be off for a while until I get sorted.
In the meantime, please get in touch at my email at pc@team17.com, because its just plain painful trying to keep up on the threads via modem right now!
On the writing front, Ive gotten about 2/3 the way through the game architecture doc I was writing, part of the reason for the delay is that I'm getting a hosted site at flipcode.com and I'm trying to get that laid out asap to give me a place to put my rants and stuff.
I submitted a proposal to the AI gems book (www.aiwisdom.com I think), so I'll see if they want that.
Ed! get in touch at my email willya? I'd still like to discuss some idea's for peered networks on a large scale.
So, I guess it might be a few weeks before I am really back to my old self. New job not withstanding, I should be able to get a cablemodem at home in vancouver and have a decent connection at home and at work.
Phil.
