Let's get started!

Well, I guess it's getting to be that time to show off a little of what we are doing with the Torque engine. We are currently working on an unannounced and untitled platform game. I figured that since I am the artist on the project I'd start off with a couple of our models rendered in glorious GI Joe.

This is our hero / player character. He is a delivery guy just working his route, but of course he will get sucked into events that forces him to evaluate his position in life while having some (hopefully) kickass adventures.

The brute. Big and dumb he acts as a guard of the city they all live in.

As we go forward during the year, I'll be showing off artwork in this here blog'o'rama and I'm sure the programmer on the team will make some posts about the things he types into those magical little .cs files.

So what am I currently working on? Right now I am slowly going through building things in Quark, laying out the map / path the player will follow and doing my darndest to create a world that is not only fun to run around in, but also makes sense and has a feeling of a large city.

As we progress through these blogs, I'm sure we'll reveal more about the story and features of the game.

'til next time!

Ya gotta love anything with 'bots... okay, and midgets.

Did I mention monkeys? No? Then monkeys too... on fire. Yeah, flaming monkeys and midgets.

and 'bots.

Seriously - great work, looks good. Will it look brighter in game or is this the mood you're aiming for?
very cool.

James; It'll go from dark and moody all the way to bright and cheery settings and run the whole gamut of color theory.

And btw.. I have yet to come across a game that has monkeys in it that I didn't like. :)
