Plan for Jerane Alleyne

Huzza! I finished all the principle animation for the characters in our game. I've been able to share the animation sequences with other models, so I don't have to repeat the animation sequences over for each individual model I do from here on end. I'm going to use the same procedure with the first person models...since we have so many weapons, with there individual animations, it could take forever...but at least now there's much more time shaved off. I wonder if the V12 can do this?

I've been hung up with getting these first person animations out of the way, I heen't ben able to get into another area of our project yet, which is to create list charts of different aspects of our game. For example, a list for game world objects, that describes the type of object (world model, brush, sprite, visual fx, etc.), what it is (ship, building, tree, thunder), what are its properties (is it destrucable? Relevant to a mission? Does it cause damage to player?), and so on. Other list would be for all relevant sound FX, outlines for the specifics in Game Logic (location damage, type of damage weapon does, etc.), and client side properties. Many of the other guys on the team are handling this, so I don't feel too bad about not getting there yet.

Game code is starting to come down, mostly in the form of examples...but its a great start. At least two of our guys have gotten the hang of the Lithtech. They've written small guides and examples of code relevant to our game. I'm going to try and set up a CVS server so as to make things easier...just need to go through the instructions :)

We're going to try and use Groove as a communication tool for now, and see if we have any luck with it :)

Well, that's all for now. Maybe in the following month we'll have some shots of skinned models for us to parade around :)

Back to work for us...

I'd be curious to know how that Groove thing works for you. I played with it a while back and didn't have much luck with it.

Just checked your profile. I found it very useful to see examples of your work there. I hope more people start taking advantage of that facility. Even if they're not currently very experienced it's interesting to see the future potential in their 'ideas'.
