To all those who downloaded CW D7...

Please remember to read my previous blog post if you haven't already.
In my rush to deploy the correct versions, I made a really stupid mistake.
I uploaded it to the wrong directory.
Yeah, I know. I'm a noob :(
So, that being said... it you downloaded it before I made this post, you'll want to download it again.
The AltGr error is not patched in the version most people have, and there's a problem with the imagelist dropdown.
The correct deployed package version is 1.2.2197.42241. Most people have 1.2.2197.28871.
So... terribly sorry. I swear I'll get this right eventually... but I don't think I've ever written software for such a large audience (almost 1000 users), since my main focus is application design for small business, so in my rush to get everything right, I'm bound to end up at a loss somewhere.
You can grab the latest package from here
Happy developing!

This version is even better than the last. I still cant belive that you are giving this as freeware. I will donate something, at the end of the month (when I get my pay check).

Are you taking feature requests? There are only a few extra things I'd personally like to see in this; the first is the ability to specify excluded directories when creating/importing a project. Using wildcards and perhaps some fixed check-boxes for specifically excluding ".cvs" and ".svn" (Subversion) directories. This would also mean it wouldn't search through these as they can get pretty massive.
The only other feature would be the ability to save-off either as a file or registry, the syntax-highlight settings. Maybe if you could just pass on the key to save, that'd be handy. I do this for VS.Net and it's nice to transfer them across to my laptop/work-pc etc.
I like, I really do.

Superb! I always said it'd take a good app to drag me away from JEdit and it looks like I may have found one!Are you taking feature requests? The new version support unicode very well, but when inputing some chinese characters I always got the same character twice, very strange!

@Melv: The only feature requests I'm still taking aren't the ones that require much coding. Both of what you suggested is possible. The latter is planned (highlight settings) as well. Thanks again :)
@Steven: I've never experienced this, but I also never used unicode characters... can anyone else confirm this?

Great job on this. I thought the addition of different UI was a nice touch. Editing TorqueScript has certainly come a long way since Tribal. There is a feature that was in Tribal and VS that I would like to see make it into Codeweaver, and that's being able to open a file outside of the editor without it launching a second instance of the editor if one already exists.
If its easy to do and you can work it that's great, if not, no big deal, maybe it can be worked in to a later version. Regardless, its a great tool that I enjoy using.

so what is this .net framework that I need now to install codeweaver?? Is it safe? Is it really needed?
#11
I had a little trouble switching to the new build. (The bug report about the installer issue is mine) Got it all figured out though.
I haven't even really used Codeweaver yet, but I'll include a thank you to you and your crew in everything I do, and I put a little something in the hat for you just to show my thanks.

Only problem I have is not getting a confirmation email to activate my account when I register for one :(

If you never got your activation email, please e-mail me (my email's in my profile), and I'll activate it for you manually. I'll also respond via my gmail account.

@Paul: We've been having problems with ISPs blacklisting the network I'm on, which is Cogent, because Cogent is infamous for not doing anything about spammers. I've been slowly asking ISPs to unblock my address range, but it's been slow.If you never got your activation email, please e-mail me (my email's in my profile), and I'll activate it for you manually. You should really update that website to reflect the fact that Torsion is now CodeWeaver. I had to uninstall it and then reinstall codeweaver when I figured out what I had done.

Sam - If you're monitoring this... I decided I was finally going to install your program... but I couldn't remember what it was called so I searched for Bacsa and found a link to the Torsion website and installed Torsion alpha1...You should really update that website to reflect the fact that Torsion is now CodeWeaver. @Chris - Torsion is not CodeWeaver.

@Chris - To be clear what i'm saying is that Torsion is made by me and Codeweaver (formally TorqueDev) is made by Sam. Two different IDEs started by two different developers at two different times, yet both for Torque.

You're welcomed to try both and pick the one that works the best for you.

@Chris: Yeah, Codeweaver (which was called TorqueDev) is available at www.torquedev.com. That's the IDE you see here and in my blogs. Torsion is made by Tom and is a completely different IDE. That's available at www.sickheadgames.com.You're welcomed to try both and pick the one that works the best for you.

Things like this happens - it just sucks when it happens on such a large project. It's a bit awkward, but you DID get the right version out fast. Thanks alot, I'm loving this release already. :)
Regards,
Eric
