Plan for Ryan Wenke

You have seen several posts about this project, but for those who haven't let me tell you the basics of who we are. We are a talented group of 9 creating an FPS-RPG-RTS set in an fantasy world. We don't work in any office, and some of us even live out of the USA (such as UK). Although this is not an ideal plan for us, the communication is amazing. For the ones who have visited our website in the past, you may have thought to yourself that it wasn't too impressive. I agree with that, mainly because I did it and I am not a webmaster. Just recently, we have completly redone our website and added several concept art pictures. Just as well, we provided a brief synopsis of Project "Survival", giving you an basic idea of it.
We are currently planning on using the award-winning Silverback engine to develop our first project, Project "Survival". The Silverback engine allows us many liberties and freedoms that we otherwise would not have. Not only does using it as our engine cut down on development time greatly, it also allows us to focus more on the smaller aspects of the game, allowing us to fine-tune every detail to our liking. However, we are not planning on simply using the engine as-is. Many parts of the engine will be reworked and redesigned in this project, giving Project "Survival" a much more refined feel to it than games previously created with the Silverback engine. We plan on redesigning the network system, the AI system and a few sections of the rendering system, as well as many other modifications that we will touch on as we evaluate what needs to be reworked. Silverback provides us with the perfect foundation for our game, bringing everything we need to make Project "Survival" a reality. Every member of our team has had a chance to work on projects relating to Silverback, and the intimate knowledge we have of the engine will allow us to mold it to our will in order to bring our vision to life. Silverback has already brought one award winning game into existence. Given the chance, we are more than confident that we can make that two.
We urge everyone to hop on over to http://www.moonstruckgames.com and join us in this epic project. Just like many of you, we are an indie company creating something that we hope will amaze the industry. We are very excited on what we have in store, and can't wait to reveal more. Join the journey and become part of Project "Survival"

How did you get that? Did they license it to you for a fee? Or did they give it away since they've moved onto newer technology.......just curious

A lot of that I can't mention yet, sorry. They didn't give it away though :-)

I was a big fan of S2games and Savage.....I'm following both new project - Savage 2 and Project Offset's game by Sam. I've also played around with the SDK in savage a while back.
Anyways, I'm curious did you get the full Engine source code? Or are you just toying with the SDK?
Thanks,
Gimp
