Next month will be the biggest, buisiest month for CSE as our 70+ hour adventure game takes over the lives of numerous people. Three staff members are putting the schooling and jobs on hold while they work on the storyline, magic, and weapons systems for Orb. Other team mebers have been working on the tech demo to be released at E3 2006. Others still are working on voice acting and CGI for a teaser trailer.
The Orb storyline is part one of five games telling the story of a civilization in a far off land called Delphire. The game and world call for Shader Version 3.0 and many modifications to the Torque Shader Engine. The world is of superior detail taking our art team 3 weeks to finish concept art for one level, and out level design team up to two months for the large levels. The music is composed by two amazing young composers, who are working to a storyline that has taken over 5 years to write only the first chapter.
Through those 5 years we have had over 100 people work on the game in some sense, and all of them still anticipate it to this day, wether they have moved on to schooling, another carreer, or even another life in a new country (some of those last ones still work with us from time to time), they have almost all kept in touch and keep up to date on the game.
This next month will see the completion of the storyline (all 80+ pages [sans dialogue]), the comeletion of the weapons system, the completion of the magic system, and the first level completely done (all art, effects, animation, and voice acting) for an internal demo.
in other words... keep watching this space :)

I've looked at your web site, but I still don't have a good feel for what type of game it will be. You called it an adventure game above, but what type of game play will it have?

Gameplay is inspired by Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
