Plan for Tom Feni

Well after seeing all the cool work done on 1.4 I figured I would restart Toons and see what I could come up with. I think I like the changes so far :) there are some small glitches that I have to get used to..
ie.. the F3 and F4 in editor get a little buggy.. like I hit F3 and it doesnt come up.. and the F3 and F4 switched places for their functions.. :)
other then that I like it alot.. I really enjoy having the ability to change colors form a color chart instead of opening paint shop and getting the values there.. :)
Well here are some screenies for the screen junkies.. :)

Just shows the first demo level I am working on.. It will be a basic level for learning the controls and what your objective is..
Which is to collect coins and get to the finish point. after you get all the coins that is.. which means there is some hunting involved.. right now I am working on scenery and getting the levels tuned up before I spend time on the player model..
He is kind of in the rough stages of production.. :)
Well when I get the demo finished I will post something up for a playable demo.. :)
until then I am off to work... :)

I am working on a theme right now, so I am playing with different texture designs..
Shaders for now are probably not going to happen so for now I am using what I can :)
And Toons is kind of the working title.. I may eventually go with CoinZ I think.. since that more accurately describes the game play..
So if it doesnt really look toonsy then I should get by.. :)
and no worries I enjoy comments good and bad :) not saying its bad but.... :)

Other than that... maybe try playing with the sky box and terrain textures to make it look like a retro style game... that might look cool.

Sorry if you took my comment the wrong way... I just think if the game had more toon style buildings, it would look cool with the sky, terrain etc.Other than that... maybe try playing with the sky box and terrain textures to make it look like a retro style game... that might look cool.

The textures for the sky and terrain are form last years build of Toons.. :)
I am redoing alot of textures and getting a better look to the over all design.. :)
But now that I know more then I did last year hopefully I can get something good done this time.. :)
and what other game?
I had a couple I was trying to make..
pinball is in limbo for a bit until I get back to looking at the new changes to T2d..
and ancients died due to lack of interest...

hehehe..
I am trying that angle.. I made some textures with a raised appearance...
when I get the demo done it will show more of what I did.. The sky is actually just a blue backdrop and the smily faces move across as clouds.. :) looks kind of trippy.. :)
and the bricks have a raised look..
maybe you can look at the demo and let me know if it looks shaded.. :)
thanks for all the feedback too.. its the reason I enjoy doing this.. :)
