Plan for Martin Askestad

I've beed doing some modding to the Torque engine. I don't think it's any real revolution but I couldn't find any resources about this particular changes. I also have some help from my brother who is a physics genius. Everything compiles, no errors, no warnings. So now comes the real challenge. Writing the script that uses the new changes. I haven't gotten a clue as to how I'm supposed to pull this off. Torque script is not my favourite cup of tea when it comes to programming languages. %-signs here, $-signs there. Calling a function with a %this parameter. To me this is kind of confusing. And I still haven't quite figures out what the heck a datablock is, it doesn't seem like there is a similar object in other programming languages.

This is not critique, just personal reflections.

I bough Marble Blast Gold a week ago. This is one of those games that really make me angry. It looks so easy... but it's not. Some of the levels are really hard. Like the half-pipe. It took me a day and a half to get all the gems without falling of. And the level after that, "gauntlet" I think it's caled. I finnished at 01:00:00, exactly on the dot. I know that I technicly didn't beat the qualify time. But I think I got close enough.

I also think that Marble Blast would work incredibly well on the Nintendo Revolution. Probably better on the Revolution that the xbox. But again, just personal reflections.

While we're on the subject of thinking about games. What the heck did the person who designed the Fantastic 4 game think about when he did it?? And why the heck didn't anybody else point out the mistakes he did?? Honestly if you got to make a Fantastic FOUR game, would you make it a TWO player or a FOUR player game?? I'm thinking that the answer is some how connected to the title.

Also my computer has gotten really wierd. First of all Media Player doesn't work. If I try to change the information about a file, like the artist. The program hangs. Also Norton Anti-Virus keeps telling me that it can't protect me against some kind of threat. But then I click the info thingy, it tells me that it's secured my computer againt this threat. After about two weeks the defragmantation of the disk is some 60%, and Checkdisk can't seem to diagnose the disk.

So I went over to the shop, bought me a shiny new SATA-disk. Was going to spend the weekend installing it and fixing up my computer. Then I realise that I can't find the little SATA-cable that I tought I had neatly tucked away in the old motherboard box. What's even worse, the power-thingymajig in the computer don't have any connectors for SATA-disks. Even if I find the SATA-cable I can't connect any power to the damned disk!!

Perhaps I should just stop using the computer. And concentrate on my guitar playing instead. Rockstars probably get more girls that game developers.

Yesterday I played a gig, hung out with friends, and worked on my game. Believe me there's time enough to work on everything. And who says game developers don't get girls?

You can buy a cable, it came with my motherboard, to go from the regular power plugs to an sata power plug.

I'm really not quite sure what you're getting at.
