Plan for Anton Bursch

I am going to be producing a monthly video news magazine for projects and developers in the GarageGames community. I will be doing stories about projects that are either at a middle or late stage of production or projects at any stage of production from teams that have already completed projects. Point is, I just need to know for sure that it will be finished so the show doesn't become a show about embaressing the community.

I will be hosting the show, since I am the only one I know with experience and who I can get to work for free. I am possibly going to have my wife as a co-host. We always have great banter between each other and she has a great public speaking presence, so, I think she will work great for this. I just have to promise her that I won't embaress her with my stupid jokes. We'll see if I can muster the will power to give up my stupid jokes. :P

Since this is going to be a news magazine about you, you are going to have to give me a couple of things. First, if you have a project in middle to late production email me and let me know at antonphd@yahoo.com. Projects are not just games but also content packs and utility applications or pretty much anything that is a game or helps to make a game. Second, when I do a story about your project or your team, I will need info and pictures about your team and possibly audio or video content of your team and the project. Webcams are perfect for interview content and 10-30 second recorded footage of your project in action is good. I won't EVER show anything that makes ANYONE look bad. So, if your team's mission statement is to rebel against the evil empire of corporate game developers, don't bother talking about it, the show isn't about those people, it's about you, and you are not who you compete with. This show is hopefully going to be basically a string of teaser trailers for your projects with interviews and exciting news items.

I am excited that we may be the first community to ever have our own monthly video news magazine. Oh, and while there will be the streaming video version which will be 20-30 minutes long, the entire content of the magazine will also be available in text and image snapshot version for viewers without broadband connection speeds.

I have been seeing tv shows and everything popping up on the web lately and I think that the internet is nearing a point where full tv shows will air. It's not there yet, but it will be and I want us to be there from the begining. This is my contribution to the games community and my chance to be innovative. Not everyone who is involved in game development in this community makes games. Some make tools and content packs and websites and are marketers and publishers and now I am adding news magazine host. More details are coming as I do more work on this. It's exciting to be in this community and doing what I am good at doing!!!!
