Plan for Midhir

I was tired of the flat terrain in "The Testing Town". After all, what good are buildings to hide in if the buildings are on an infinite flat surface? So I built a street layout using some prefabs I made from one of the street packs from www.3d-diggers.de and some good ol' fashioned elbow grease. I used Cartography Shop 4.2 and the Torque Pipeline. (And obviously the Torque Mission Editor =)

Playtesting a tactical/action FPS is alot easier when you have something to hide behind.

3ddiggers has alot more than just streets, and at very reasonable prices. You need PayPal I believe.

They have really nice stuff that will drop into Torque. I have the old city pack, the tree pack, and several texture packs from them. I mix them in with some home-built content, and you can prototype a level really fast.

The character model used in my game is the Soldier Pack from Tridinaut, sold here on GG. I modified the animations so that he isn't holding his gun like a n00b. The handgun model is an excellent model of a Glock 17 from turbosquid.com that I opened up in 3dsMax and turned into a usable .dts model. The URL where you can download the free .3ds version of the handgun from Turbosquid is: http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/204360
