Well the new day job at Web Solutions has been going great. For the past month or so ive been doing nothing but studying asp.net and its related tech.
Now im very familiar with how web apps work.
Its back to game making time now.
Ive been working as a lead developer at Variant Interactive for a lil while now. We have a couple projects going on. Check out our forums for more details. We have a new site coming soon too.
I missed out on the East Lansing, MI GG meeting last Friday. But Cris Boyer of Variant Interactive went and a good time without me. :( He even had the chance to talk with Jay Moore for a while about some opportunities and then the highlight of his night, having a drunken Davey Jackson yelling "I Love you" from his car to random frat guys as Cris drove the GG guys back to their hotel.
Well some exciting news now:
1. The T2D Animation datablock editor is being worked on at full speed!
2. Variant Interactive has acquired the rights to an insanely popular Japanese 2d plat former released last year. There is even an english version of this game. We are huge fans of it!! We will be bringing this to the TAP Platform. And maybe some future titles based on this IP.
Official announcement soon!
3. After extensive research and discussion: Speed ( our upcoming racing game ) will be built in the Torque Shader Engine and AGEIA's PhysX physics engine. Check out our forums for more details on this game. Ill make a bigger post about it later.
4. Then some more announcements about our upcoming games and acquired licenses.
We are looking for more members. But ill let Cris Boyer post about that.
And i would love to thank Garage Games for making all this possible for us.

I was going to start looking for other people who are/have intergrating this into Torque. Having a group of people working on properly intergrating it into Torque would be a good thing and sharing it too :)

We have the tech, we have the programming skills, but we can't convert people over from the art side. :( We are severly artist limited.

I don't mind you Yelling Under the Influence at all man. In fact, I would dare say that nobody has ever yelled "I LOVE YOUUUUU" at frat kids from my car before. Thanks for christening the seat, man.

Ha. Well then I suppose I'll have to seriously think about whether or not to allow you inside the CEOmobile. =)
