Plan for Mike Kuklinski

I have been, for a long time, using Points to render my stars. However, pixels do not properly represent stars... it is difficult to make them look natural. I am going to keep this plan brief, so I will tell you WHAT I did, but not HOW I did it. That is for another time.
I set up TSE to use point sprites... it has the support code already, but does not directly allow you to do it. Mind you, this work is loosely based on Mr. Lupiani's work.
This was BEFORE I set up size and color baises:

EDIT: Here is one with a planet!

Hmm my mind is telling me Mike that those stars arent just for decoration. Could they be selectable in the view. :) But maybe that is prying a bit to much :)

They are just for decoration :/ Would be rather difficult to make them selectable, and evem more difficult to make them actually do something in that case! :)

I just added another screenshot, for eye candy.

Well, I found a bug in my planet renderer, and fixed it. I also changed the planet texture-- it's a gas giant now, and it rotates! Looks very cool, I added a scaling method so it gets -slightly- larger the closer you get, or smaller if you go farther...

I have submitted an IOTD outlying how the evolution classes have evolved from what they were originally were, with slight mention to James Lupiani here :) Should be up... ummm... some day.
