Plan for Jon Heiner

I'm fascinated with the idea of doing games in a wicked short amount of time, like 40 hours for each team member. As an exercise in focus, purity and scope, I think this kind of turn around is critical for iterating into a fantastic idea, and great for moralle in terms of actually finishing a project. I mean, how many projects have you started, compared to how many have you finished. The old guys in this industry used to do it solo in a matter of months. And there are some great classics due to the purity. Anyway, looking for a rockstar 3D artist (concept, illustration & modeling) and a rockstar animator (rigger & animator). Let me know if you have a similar bent.
A sub-project i'm interested in doing is wrapping portions of the engine with Lua. I have seen Lua used extremely effectively in games and rapid prototyping, and i'm sure others have looked into this. I haven't had a chance to take the language out for a run primetime, so this should provide an excellent opportunity for that. The high level goal is to keep engine code in C/C++ and get "game code" into Lua, so things like object databases and scripts and memory management all become seamlessly integrated and can be manipulated in real-time within a running game.
