Plan for Joseph

Been about 2 weeks since the release of v1.2 starter.fps and it's already had over 160 downloads (demo has had 121 downloads)... thanks everyone!
(Download links can be found on my last .plan)

The starter.fps pack is coming along pretty good, I've got a few main things to sort out which are...

Crossbow: The string is the wrong way around, but I might just replace the crossbow with the fancy space gun that was made for fluffy.

Trees: the trunks work and now have bump mapping, I just need to sort out the leaf textures for them.

Options:The options don't really work, i'm not sure if it's a problem with the port or if the code isn't in TSE to allow the options to work (I don't know, I'm a n00b)... I need to look in to it. "cough ask Brian or Ben cough"

But other than that, theres nothing big to sort out...

I think theres 2 other people working on starter.fps ports for TSE (because of the bounty) so it will be cool to see how they do it.

Once thats out of the way, I'm deffenetly going to try and finish the starter.racing pack and get it online for people to download.

After that?
Well, I'm really looking in to porting the RTS kit over to TSE (mainly because I have an idea for an RTS game that would be cool with shaders) but thats going to be a big job for me.
I also have to work on a small game I'm making using TSE (which is the reason I started the starter.fps port) the game is called Battle Grounds it's going to be a WW2 game to help me get started with game dev (more info on the site)...

A big thanks to everyone that downloaded the starter.fps pack and posted feedback!

Thanks for reading

- Joseph

It's cool to see you're still plugging away at this.

To solve the resolution problem :

Go into optionsDlg.cs, and look for calls to "getResolutionList".
Remove any parameters, save, then reload TSE :)

Seems that the "getResolutionList" has been overridden with another version using exclusively the new gfx code, which does not require passing a device parameter.

There is a bounty for porting the fps demo to TSE?
Keep it up :]

Joshua, GG has put up a site for TSE owners... the site has a list of bounties for TSE work. (do the work... they use it... you get paid)
