Plan for Adam Beaumont

Well another six months goes by with a similar number of hours of game dev done. I guess I have some kind of excuse (having moved out to Hong Kong with a pregnant wife to start a new day job) but it still feels a little deflating not to have spent time on my game project.
I bought Torque2D in April and have not even managed to get it out of the box (I did run the demo and take a quick look at some of the code but no further). I was expecting to have seen more games done with Torque2D by now but maybe I'm just not looking in the right places. I'm determined to get my current project a little bit further before tinkering with 2d though - if there's one thing I've learnt its that I don't need any more excuses not to focus on the main game plan !
Looking forward things are not all bad though - I've finally set up my PC in a room on a desk where I can work comfortably. I have a connection to the internet (wireless no less) and a compiled up version of the game that (sort of) works. Vanilla has done a really nice job on the website so maybe things are looking up. We're working on a dev snapshot and then who knows, we may be able to post something for you to download - will (try to) keep you posted !
