Plan for Tom Feni

Well, I guess I am finally getting around to throwing together some things for a asset pack..

I have been thinking of doing one for awhile but never felt comfortable with milkshape to do it..
Now I do.. :)

most of the items in the picture are dts shapes, with some of the buildings being .dif (interiors)

Not sure if it will be profitable but I figure someone may get some use out of them..

I plan to do alot more before releasing any info on the pack, but thought I would show what I have so far..

* different I-Beams
* soda machines and a candy machine.. (I know its trademarked.. :) I will change it later)
* a sub, but its only a trial shape.. it will probably change.
* pallets of many amounts.. Ie single, stacked, broken
* crates
* rock piles
* couple of buildings
* barrier with sign.. :)
* some basic roads

I plan to do much more, but will take alot of time.. :)

hope to get it done soon, as long as Melv doesnt release the new T2D build... seeing as how PinBall is stuck on some minor collsiion stuff... :)

anyways here is the pic.. :)

Looking good :)

I know i'd be interested in the asset back whenever you finish. You probably already thought of it (as you said you're still adding a lot) but broken walls (with peek holes), and sandbags would be a nice addition ;)

As much as I'd like to see more, good luck on the collision stuff, it can be frustrating to have a suspended project like that!

Honestly, I think that stuff is rather amaturish.... (i'm not a 3d guy, so maybe it's just the textures, i dont know)

dont get me wrong, you can make money, but you better go for a nitch. Low polly is a good target, and also if you go for a "discount service".

Good stuff IMO, but needs more work (I guess you know already) before I would purchase it. I don't know how to explain but the textutres need more work so they really "fit" to the model. Right now some of those models are just too boxy and the texture rather dull.

I hope you update us on your progress, definatly interesting!

another suggestion, dont go for realaism. go for creativity, abstract objects.

you have a lot more creative flexibility, and people dont mind as much if something doesnt look 100% "real" (it still has to look good though)

Well I was thinking of doing a realistic building pack..
more of a quick set so people can get started fast with a city scape..
Mainly just things you would expect to find.. :)

I can do futuristic too.. :)

thanks for the comments too..

Those are some pretty awesome soda machines. Good luck with the pack!
