I want to make MMO game so i have to study game programming.
1. Study game engine.
2. Develop simple game.
3. Find designer.
4. Make demo.
5. Find money.
6. Gather a team.
7. Develop a game.

Heh - actually, Phil, that's about step 12 or so. Steps 8-11 should involve figuring out how to release, market, and sell your game. Developing the game is only half the battle!

You better find Money before you find the Designer... Just my opinion :) And you better make the demo first to, so the designer dont think you are a newcomer that knows nothing and will be spamming his inbox with viruses and crashing his harddrive.

I think your first two steps are right on

Great way to start... study the engine (most people try to jump into a super complex game right off the bat)... then develop a simple game (or prototype) starting small is good :)

@Jay : And here I thought knowing was half the battle...oh well...replace G.I.Joe with G.G. Dev, and you get Developing the game is only half the battle!

@Alex : At least your first step isn't 'Make a game that will put doom 6 to shame'. Have fun!
