Plan for Michael "Evic" Wales

So I got bored and decided to give a shot at writing a spider. If you're not familiar with a spider it's essentially an application that starts somewhere on the internet, and follows links around constantly, indexing the information it finds. It's currently written in PHP and, albeit functional, not efficient.
I started the Spider at www.garagegames.com (webmaster, you should see GibSpider come across, if it's killing your server let me know, not much in the way of wait limits and what-not). It's been going for 18 minutes now and index'd 81 pages. At this rate it will prob take about an hour to go 20 levels deep (what I set it at). We shall see.
I've decided to give a shot at porting it over to Java and see how it performs in that respect. If I can get it optimized well enough I am thinking of launching a search engine directed at gamers, more than likely I'll start with the Indie market.

Optimally, I'd like to launch a search engine for gaming only (it fits a nice niche, I've always had success with niche markets - Google WoWCensus for your proof). If I get it done, launch the site, and the search takes off and is used, I would prob. add more features such as easily adding our search box to your website which would only search the index of your website. Stuff like that.
It's a lot to think about, especially as this is simply something I did because I was bored and wanted to see if I could...

No real plans for it really, just kind of messing around and as this is the only programmer oriented website I frequent, figured I would mention it here.Optimally, I'd like to launch a search engine for gaming only (it fits a nice niche, I've always had success with niche markets - Google WoWCensus for your proof). Oh man, Evic is a long story...
I used to go by Evicerator when I played Quake. It's an old german folklore monster, and the basis of the word eviscerate. I joined a clan called Bombsquad and needed to put the ]Bs[ tag on my name, but Evicerator was to long for my entire name to show up on the scoreboard. So, I just shortened it to Evic and it's stuck for the past 10 or so years.
I have been kind of quite lately. Not a whole lot going on in my game dev life, or anything I can remotely relate to game dev. One of my friends is a monster at Cinema 4D, so I am trying to get him to learn Blender. Wants he gets good at that it would be nice to take screenshots of the models and work on a T2D game before I fire TGE back up. We shall see.
For now, it's a lot of webdev launching my next business and doing contract work.

so will this be like a search engine usable in mainly game related sites?
