Plan for Phil Carlisle

Well, got in touch with my old agent. Things are ticking over nicely with them. Had a few other interesting chats with companies, but its really important for me to find the RIGHT thing for me (hell, you only live once).
I'm hoping the V12 release isnt far off, I need to take a look at what we can and cant do, what I need to work on, and basically take a look and get familiar with the production process.
I'm kind of polarising my thought right now, I have a VERY nice design idea for a multiplayer game for pre-teen market, which I think is strong, so I'll sharpen that and see how much work it would be to alpha for that.
In the meantime, a few friends are still up for doing our own take on the old FPS genre, while I'm wary of doing that, I think its possibly still worth us trying to get a version of that going too (mainly to try the new idea's out and see what works and what doesnt).
Right now, I'm not too concerned with the whole jobsearch thing, its going pretty well I think. I'm really in no massive hurry to launch myself at another company, I'm biding my time and making sure the chemistry (believe me chemistry is REALLY important to me, lets face it, I give more of myself in my work relationships than I ever have in my personal ones) is right.
I love the touchy feely feeling Ive got about games right now :), I am just too soft I guess, or too much of a romantic. But I love making games, I love making idea's for games.. how many people have been through the "wringer" of game development and STILL say that :))
