Plan for Josh Ritter

... continued from a previous .plan

Here's a quick update of things going on with the development side of Minions of Mirth...

1. We are moving the hosting for the alpha repository to a much faster server. We'll also be splitting up the Windows and OSX binaries... Hooray!!!

2. We've created development forums. We'll be using these to coordinate development on MoM and associated technology. Access to these forums is restricted to developers.

3. The MoM alpha already comes with full RPG database scripts for generating custom content. It also includes full zone creation tools. We thought, "Why stop there?": Interested developers will soon have access to the Minions of Mirth Python source code!!! This source code can be used to help create content and rules for the game!!! Eventually, this will become the official mod making SDK...

Please submit requests for access along with any sample work to: lara@prairiegames.com

4. We are still accepting proposals for help and usage of our RPG technology at proposals@prairiegames.com

very cool Josh! Definately looking forward to sneaking in some time next week (have no college classes next week just work) to explore and create some content in MoM... (will have my server run consantly once I can figure out the problem with my new 108 mbs wireless card, half tempted to throw the old one back in, lol a lot slower but at least it stays running)

GREAT!! Been burning oil making things in Cartography shop putting together my own content, MOM pretty solves a lot of the things I never have to worry about the tech. So Look for me to pop in too Josh :)) I got question about putting a server up. But I will saved them for the MOM forums :)

I think it'd be really cool to see MoM start picking up some snowball momentum in the community, I see a lot of posts here everyday almost of people looking to design the next big online/offline rpg but lack X or Y resource to do it properly...where Josh R and Prairie games already has the foundation, basement, and first floor already up and add more and more everyday, while everyone else is still starting at blue prints going "heruhh?".

MoM is an awesome project which is going to just keep going up, I've been extremely impressed by the alpha tests in Torque Josh has put out. :-)

Indie power :)
