Plan for J Lesko

Download Game (713k)
Gameplay
This is a parody of Barbie (1984) for the Commodore 64.
Experience the excitement of getting ready for a date with "Kevin."
Background
I know what you're thinking.
You're thinking, "Damn, he beat me to it!" Actually, I'm not sure what compelled me to do this. As usual, on Friday night I had no ideas, and it wasn't until Saturday morning when I was surfing Lemon64 that I found inspiration. After reading the comments from the guys that played this when they were kids (dressing her inappropriately), I downloaded the .d64 file and played it on an emulator. God, this game sucks! But it had potential for parody and it kind of fit the "Augmentation" theme, so I went with it.
For the first 4 or 5 hours, I hated it. I spent a lot of time making dresses and hairstyles. I wanted so badly to just make some tough outlaws that kill people with their bare hands, or something that explodes. Once I got into the weirder bits, though, it was actually kind of funny to work on.
The biggest change I made was to the way you select clothes. In the original, you drive around in the Barbie-mobile and stop at places like "Ed's Shoes" and just grab whatever you want. In the remake, you only pick one type of clothing to change per turn and your options change as you progress through the game. This gives it more replayability, and the combinations are usually pretty funny.
Also, I did the voices for both Blondie and Kevin -- my neighbors must think I'm nuts as I'm sure they overheard me ask myself out several times. On a positive note, this is the first GID where I got to spend some time working on cleavage.
I still want to write a chip tune for it, and I need to come up with an ending.
Original C64 version

"Blondie" version

One of the many exciting wardrobe combinations

My Past GIDs
GID11 - A Most Dangerous Crosswalk
GID10 - Martian Meltdown
GID9 - Grand Thrift Auto
GID7 - Lord of the Gems
(this .plan is my second draft, after the first one seemed to get eaten by system issues)

Actually, there was no winning or losing in the original. When Ken finally decides to show up, you see a splash screen of the two of you standing next to some random scene (restaurant, beach, etc), with some shitty music playing in the background.

OMG I remember we used to play some spider game on C64 that took multiple floppies and 15 minutes to load. Neat GID project.

Having never played the original, how does one win? Is there a preselected "like" that Ken has, or is it more complex than that?
