Plan for Chris Labombard

Alright... So over the past 2 months I have been putting about 60 hours a week into programming my first Torque game (which isn't easy with a fulltime day job and a girlfriend who is crazy for attention).

I did my own GID a while back after missing the last GID to get a quick and dirty prototype. It was obvious that the MONTH and a half of design had been worth it.

I've now completed almost ALL the games functionality and core logic. Granted I need to iterate through them a few times to improve everything, but almost all of it is implemented.

So far the team is me... and an artist with absolutely no time. So little time that I don't have any art at all. So the game looks like... well, it doesn't look pretty. I am in desperate need of a talented artist with a lot of ambition and time. Hopefully, by this weekend I will have the rest of the logic implemented. When that time comes I will post a .plan with the first public release of info on the game... Why a .plan and not development snapshot? Because I can only put 1 picture in a dev snapshot and I have a wack of pics I want to post.

It's really frustrating coding when you dont get to see anything youve coded in the game. I have no enemies modelled and rigged (which is a shame since I've coded 9 different AI algorithms). My main character isn't modeled or rigged nor his weapons, so I don't get to see any of my items or weapons in use really... Sure the crossbow is pretty much a swiss army knife now. I've used it for all my items, all my weapons and even a few things it really shouldn't.

I've got all game controlling logic implemented, enemy, game, and zone logic... I revamped my camera to act the way I want it to.

I've got a completed asset list and schedule, with every model and texture needed written down.

Well, the whole point of this plan should seem obvious to anyone who has read this far. I need an artist. I need one really bad. I need someone with even half the ambition I have. Obviously I don't expect someone to jump on board right now, having seen, read, or heard nothing about the actual game. However, this weekend when I post another plan full of screenies, concept art and a complete list of what has been implemented I hope that someone will jump on and ride this bad boy to IGC with me.

Ask questions if you got em. Let me know if you might be interested in teaming up with me. I don't want this project to fail because I can't find an artist.
