Plan for Josh Ritter

We will soon be conducting Open Alpha Testing on Minions of Mirth.
I'll announce the beginning of the Open Alpha Test here at GarageGames. At that time, we'll send out an instructional email to chosen testers.
The alpha includes the full mod making SDK and level editing software. We'll also be running a number of contests and looking for help writing content for the game.
Potential testers and helpers should email: lara@prairiegames.com
Basically, we are going to address some ease of use issues and dress up the game a bit... and then WHAM! OVERLOAD!!!!
There are a number of people testing and giving feedback on the alpha right now. It's been an absolute thrill for me to demo the game in multiplayer. The feedback has been GREAT as well. Thanks guys and keep it coming!!!!
I also want to be sure you guys are aware of the Alpha Forums. I am posting patch information to them (you can update your alpha at any time, definitely do so before running from the baseline). There are also a number of FAQ's that may help... for instance, Macros/Hotkeys got a major revision this morning and the docs are now dead wrong :)

There is quite a bit of a road ahead for Josh and his small team, but when you realize he's the sole programmer on this, you can't help but wonder if he sleeps at all ;)
It will rock, no doubts about it
Mighty cheers Josh !!
And, as I haven't told you in ages in all likelyhood :
Keep on Torquin', Rebel Warrior !! 8p

We're giving this our all... and it hasn't always been fun. This last week has literally felt like a dream starting to come true. The system is really coming together and I am quite happy with it. This won't be one game... and it's build for expansion.
Make no mistake about it. Torque and the GarageGames community is definitely part of making this happen. You can expect plenty of gushing once we ship :)

I've had the opportunity to take a look at it too, and I agree with Jeff, this is going to be big. NWN had a lot of promise, but it's too restricted in my mind to really start a new MUD revolution. MoM could be it.

I'm just stunned by the significance of the project. This is really exciting.

Apparently nobody got around to telling Josh and PrairieGames that "Indies Can't Do This." He's seen your MMORPG, and raised you full single-player capability, complete mod-ability, and...I'm just stunned by the significance of the project. This is really exciting.

It really is a blast showing MoM in multiplayer. We've gotten some great feedback already and the game is better for it.
We're pretty excited too... this has been a long journey with many, many twists.

In just a couple of hours I got to see some things that frankly blew me away...both technically and the sheer potential of what they've put together. I can't wait to see how it progresses throughout the next several phases!

It really is amazing what Prairie Games has accomplish so far---and it boggles the mind when you realize that it's just two of them!In just a couple of hours I got to see some things that frankly blew me away...both technically and the sheer potential of what they've put together. I can't wait to see how it progresses throughout the next several phases!
