Plan for Paul Dana

I will be pausing (not stopping) my game development work on Virus Blaster (formerly Bit Shifter) while I help in th emost important scientific discovery of this century, perhaps ever.

Atlantis was disovered a while back and announced in a book last summer Discovery of Atlantis. I loved reading this book and followed the progress of author Robert Samarst during the summer and fall of last year. I became convinced he really had discovered Atlantis.

He originally promised to show all the imgaes as they became available, but as you can see in the Updates section of the website, he changed his mind and further images will not be released until later when he has made a documentray (and recoup some of the large amount of private money sunk into this search I'm sure...).

Anyway...this lack of images pissed me off, so I contacted the author. He explained his situtation, I explained mine and it came out that I have expertise in 3D visualization. One thing led to another and now, in addition to my normal day job, I have taken on a contract position working for him...merely so I can see the damn images!

Wish me luck. Once it's over I will get right back to game coding. I still hope to have Virus Blaster done and for sale by this years IGC.

It's amazing to what lengths obsession will drive us.

After seeing some of the early images, it's pretty impressive what Paul's managed to pull off here. It's a shame that VirusBlaster is on the backburner, but some things are more important then gamedev, such as income and furthering our knowledge of human history.

That's good news Dana... can't wait to see more about your "Visualize Atlantis".
I hope you have a lot of fun working on something with a strong personal interest.
Cool!
