Plan for Ben "Djaggernaut" Chavigner

Ok that title sucks... but at least it sure talks about the content of this plan :)

We started a few month ago a group with my friend Nermin (also known as Gema in this community) a group of graphist making video game model: Tridinaut.

Our goal is simple, we want to offer the best quality for the smallest price.
I guess not every coder is able to create his/her art assets, and not every coder can hire an artist to make the job.

A simple weapon is already really expensive. It's quite ok since it's lot of work. But when you need lot of them it's an other problem ;)

So we will release soon our first medieval weapon pack.
It will contain something like 40 weapons (hmm perhaps more, Nermin if you read that, can you give the right number) and extra skins.

We did them as common as possible so you can really use them in your game without looking like the neightboors ;) (it's easy to customize them too).

So as a main content or even as an extra for your NPC I think it's a good deal.

The pack will be sold something like 40$, 1$ per weapon!! (let's hope we'll not be ruined ;) )

Here is a sshot of a few of them. There are swords, shields, axes, bows and even feodal asian blades.

It will PERHAPS be available here on GG if Josh agrees and doesn't kick me away :D

If not there will still be our (not yet) nice website at : www.tridinaut.com

Comments, suggestions, ideas are welcome. ;)

EDIT: Just a little close up to show the texture is quite detailed so the weapon can be used for an FPS for example or rendered for a 2D game:

Dang - those are really nice-looking weapons. You spent a lot of time on the texturing.

Thanks guys.

BTW, models are done by Nermin and texture by me, and yes I spent quite some time on them! ^^

I hope to see them ingame soon as well :-D

Hi Djagg and rest of GG community! It's been long time since I last posted here and I've been around here since the begining ;)

As it looks right now we could have 50 medieval models in this pack so anyone interested should have planty of medieval stuff to play with :)

they look really nice. to add another marketing bullet point, do you have mount points set up so you could for example drop these on Fluffy with zero effort?

Well, the mountpoints must be done on the player model in fact.
When we will export the weapon to dts, we'll take care to set the pivot to the origin (0,0,0) so when you mount it on your char, normally it SHOULD work fine and appear on the desired mountpoint :)

I say it should because something working on a first time is almost impossible ;)

Great idea...that will be a great value with 40 weapons. We need more resources like this that are a good value. Things like the RTS Pack, Tank Pack, Tree Pack etc also get favorable mention.

Cool Gema (who is Nermin, also know as the Modeling-person-of-apocalypse and Mister Marmelade).

So 50 weapons (that means I still have a few more to texture, arg) perhaps the price will be like 50$ then to stay at the 1$ per weapon.... Bah we'll see.. Anyway I promise it will be good deal :)
