Plan for Michael Cozzolino

After each accomplishment you realize how much more work you need to do. I have been working on a game that I think is something I can complete. I started around the end of November but really focus started after Christmas. I have made and met a few personal milestones as far as the game goes. I think this game is very scaled down to a managable level but damn making a game takes a S- Load of work. Hopefully I will have something to test by the end of the month. I'm shooting for 2 SP mission and 1 multiplayer mission to be done before I put the game through some internal testing. If all is well hopefully an open beta soon after.

I have a good 4 solid ideas for games I would like to create over the next few years if I can. I lately have been feeling like that I may just not be cut out for this. Torque 2D just came out and I think it looks and seems amazing. Problem is I cannot for the life of me come up with a single game concept using the technology. Yeah I know what you are saying: "You could always make a remake." Well I don't think that would show off T2D's potential. So I feel like If I can't come up with a game idea with T2D than maybe my game ideas(3D) are not that good. Maybe I need to be part of a team and give input rather than the whole concept? Maybe i'm just stressing trying to get my game done?

Today is my birthday. I turned 29 and I made a promise to myself back when I was in highschool that by the time I was 30 I would accomplish something "career" wise that I was proud of. Well i'm hoping this game can be that thing or a springboard to that thing. I guess if this project doesn't pan out I will just have to get back up, dust myself off and try again. After a month or so of self pity ;)

Wish me luck!

check out the book "the artist's way" if you're low on game idea inspiration. otherwise, your idea of maybe contributing to a team might be a good one. in any case, don't stress about the age thing, it's just an arbitrary number! good luck
