Plan for L Foster

by Logan Foster · 02/17/2005 (10:28 am) · 10 comments

Late last week I did an interview with a local paper (the Edmonton Journal) with Gary Lamphier, one of their technology writers. They were intersted in hearing about Dark Horizons - Lore & Lore : Invasion, how it is a IGF "open category" finalist and my thoughts on how the provincial government can do more help encourage high-tech ventures and allow them to succeed.

I am please to let everyone know that the article was published in today's edition of the paper on the front page of their "Business" section. Here is a PDF of the article for those of you who are intersted in reading it.

Oh I forgot to add, please take some time and Vote for Lore as the "players choice" for the 2005 Independant Game Festivals (IGF) competition. You can do so by choosing Lore at www.gamespot.com/igf. By doing so you can help support the GarageGames community and show how great Torque made games really are!

Way to go! That's something I've always wanted to do here. I did get into the local section for teaching some kids one time ;) Doing something like that is still a goal of mine, congratulations!

Great article too!

For some extra reading check out this blog from Michael Robertson (CEO of Linspire and all around Linux evangelist) about Lore at the recent Linux Desktop summit.

congrats! rarely to mainstream journalists "get" our games or our culture and you end up with superficial and even patronizing articles. not the case at all here -- and they even mentioned garage games and included the URL which is cool. be sure to laminate and frame it to hang up in the "maxgaming tower" office building some day :) cool stuff.
