Well, I've joined up with Aurelio on his project "StarTrader". If it comes out the way he explained it to me and the way I have it in my head, it'll be Homeworld meets Privateer... Sorta what FreeLancer could have been, only an RTS. I'm no programming genius (although Aurelio seems to know what he's doing), but the networking side of this may end up being a bitch, he doesn't seem concered, which is either really good or really bad. But judging from his depth into everything else, things look bright.

I'm the second memeber of the team, and I'm just here to give Aurelio a break from the modeling side of things. I'll be the one responsibile for most the ingame meshes. Aurelio wants this game to have huge battles between armadas of ships; which is damned cool; execpt it puts me in a tight spot poly-count wise. I'm aiming for 120 polys per fighter, with upto 400 on the capital ships. For those of you counting, Tribes1 had more polys than that on their heavy Armor. I've made one fighter (at a nice light 98 polys) and a light cargo ship (at a realatively low 146 polys).

Aurelio and I still need a Texture artist. So if this sounds like somthing you'd want in on, and you can shove lots of detail into a small texture map, then please contact me (sideshowsid@badkarma.net) and I'll pass you on to Aurelio (or you can look through the wanted ads and see if you can find his post directly).
