well, the time has come..
I'm going to be moving house tommorow, so it basically means I'll likely be offline for a few weeks. Of course I'm still recieving mail at both my bolton account and my gmail account zooombapup gmail.com
Nasty stuff though moving. As anyone whose done in recently (Ben B, Mattf etc).
I dont WANT to move, but its just bad spending 3 hours a day on the road commuting.
So wish me luck! I'll be away but working hard on the AI pack and my games.
Oh and I'm going to send josh a little thing for the newsletter tommorow.
Till next time.

Phile waiting all that time for the AI pack is really boring :(
do you know that sometimes I totally forgot that there is an AI pack in development?
finally I hope to you an easy moving.

Sorry Phil, but the level of entitlement some people are showing gets to me :)
And while moving is a drag, remember no more 3 hours of commute every day ;)
Catch you on the flipside.

Firas, stfu, or put up : you're bored waiting for the AI pack, make your own, that should "un-bore" you, if not make you pull out all your hair...Sorry Phil, but the level of entitlement some people are showing gets to me :)

@Nicolas: Keep in mind that not all users here speak English as a first language...Firas' comments weren't intended to be obnoxious (although I admit they could be taken that way), but a statement about how anxious and interested he is for release (as are a lot of us!).

Yea I can't stand commuting. I drove from San Antonio to Austin (Motorola) 90 miles each way. I only lasted 8 months. Good luck in the move hope your commute will be shorter no?

If Firas just messed up in his choice of words, fine, so be it, and I apologize for it. Else, it still stands :)
As for wrong thinking : I can write a 3d engine, that doesn't mean I'm going to if I can buy one, so no, just because you're waiting for the AI pack has absolutely no correlations to you being able to do it yourself or not.
Again, the AI team has never given firm release dates ever : we said we'd show it at IGC 2004, and we did :) (I had to quit the team a bit before the conference)
Why do you think it's so ? So yeah, people don't whine when it's not released at a promised date.
And people have been whining in word quite like what Firas said, about it not being there already, it being too expensive, or not free, etc.
Hence my strong reaction : the put up reaction was not just about Firas making his own AI Pack, which I used as an example, but whatever else he could do regarding his game dev efforts. Any game has plenty to do to make it a game you'd be proud to show in public, right ?
And if you think dropping the AI pack is going to give you instant AI driven gameplay, you're so wrong : it's not a big red button :)
I could go on a long rant about this and other community issues, but I think you get my drift...

English is not my first language either, and putting a :( after saying you're bored with waiting just sounded like the usual entitlement frenzy we see a lot of around these parts. If Firas just messed up in his choice of words, fine, so be it, and I apologize for it. Else, it still stands :)
