Plan for FruitBatInShades

Got through most of the textures now, all are semi-photorealistic and tesselate. There are basic textures such as windows and walls in each set but there are also themed versions such as damp, slums etc.
There will be more as I start to work hard on the prefabs and find I require things, I hope to have the pack out within 6-8 weeks as long as life doesn't get in the way. Below is a preview of some of the textures, the image is quite big so be patient.
I am getting a bit stuck with ideas for features on walls and interiors, if you've got any ideas of what you'd like to see as textures or DIF models, please have a post, thanks :o)

Setting up a new site shortly, but theres nothing on it at the moment. www.fruitbatinshades.com
If anyone reading this knows how textures are handled in torque PLEASE check out this thread

Nice textures Fruit! Now I see why I haven't seen you online very much lately. Great job. Maybe UnCivilized will buy this pack when you release it.

@Eric: Don't worry eric I haven't forgot about your stuff, I just thought that getting the pack done first would give you a good starting point, then i'll do your game specific stuff.

And I still think we'll buy this from you when you release it. Nice work.

@Josh: When I spoke to lara she said that you couldn't use the textures because you were using most of the video memory for the monster sprites! Has that changed?

But what if I want a more detailed geometry, say, for a Tomb Raider-like gameplay, where the player will interact very much with the scenery? If all this player see is wallpaper in planes, it would make this beautiful work you're achieving look poor.
So, along with this Romanesque door and window set you showed (the second line), I recommend you have a 256x256 brick wall, the stones used to make the portal and window frames (maybe 256x256 or less), the door (512x256) and windows (256x128) in separated textures, so I can make my first floor (close to the player) in rich geometry and maybe a second floor with these three textures you showed just slapped in planes. The "parts" would complete the set.

This set shows just one kind of interior texture: those walls that have doors and windows embedded, that you use to make difs that are basically big blocks with very simple geometry. But what if I want a more detailed geometry, say, for a Tomb Raider-like gameplay, where the player will interact very much with the scenery? With TSE getting so close to mainstream usable, I'd like to see any and all future texture packs include normals, bumps, details, and rad settings as needed. A texture pack seller that included those would really set themselves apart from the rest.

FYI, that's Gothic rather than Romanesque, note the pointed archway.

Like a butter churn, a fireplace rack with a poker and small shovel, an ash pot, in the kitchen a small drying rack, a cedar chest, a wooden peg rack for hanging coats, a coat rack for the wealthy, a shelf for steins and cups, a wash basin, a coffee pot, a couple beer steins, coffee mugs, Beer mugs, shot glasses for the bar, bottles of liquor, casks with ale and spigots, wooden benches, an open circular hearth, a big kettle, a shadow box, candleholders with candles, a candelabra for the wealthy, a woodbin. mantle over a hearth, a birds nest, carved bookends, a checkerboard a cutting board, a large ladle, a skull, a spinning globe, an old telescope, a sextant, a wooden bowl, a stack of bowls, a wooden plate, a cermic plate, a stack of plates, butter knife, spoons, a dress on a hanger, a man's coat on a hanger, a ladies dress hat, a cowl, a hooded cloak on a peg,
Things to hand on the walls? (several of the things up above and ... animal skins - bear, mountain lion, wolf, bobcat. Pictures - from paintings to kids drawings, tapestries for the wealthy to maps in frames. Bookcases with old books, scrolls, and the odd looking object from a skull to a globe. Shelving of different sizes.
Just a start.

Ok, I gotta take a break from this for a while. Quark is doing my head in. Just gonna take a couple of weeks off and do some website stuff, then I shall get back to it. I've been on nothing else for 2 months :(
