Plan for Phil Carlisle

The best laid plans of mice....
Ok, so my plan was to fly out to the US early before IGC to get used to the time difference and to work on my game/articles/talk/anything else beforehand.
Key to this, was my powerbook laptop.
Only, I was in procrastination mode and managed to wait so long that as of 8pm the night before I set off, no powerbook is in sight (its in the UK having been shipped from Holland, so I'm expecting it will arrive after I leave tommorow, or maybe the day after).
So that basically means, no laptop, no workee!
As luck would have it, I might have a plan b, but that wont come into action until the 4th, so I'll be maybe spending some time relaxing up to that point. :)
Of course, this kind of puts my plans of workin on my game for IGC back quite a bit :) on the upside, I needed a break.
So from 7am tommorow I'll be on my way to IGC/eugene. I guess I'm going to be one of the first there :) but I'm going to try and stay out of GG's hair until the cyclone hits on thursday/friday.
On the upside, I'll maybe spend a few days in portland (perhaps the weekend) and I'll be able to get a feel for the area (basically bugger all else to do).
So I'm gonna go get packed up. Camera, phone, minidisk and whatnot. Wish me good journey!

Are you ever going to finish that cup of coffee (tea?)? Seems like you've been sipping it forever now :)

I agree with Erik. That coffee/tea must be rather cold by now. Well anyways, good luck Phil and I hope you make it!
