Plan for monki (Wesley Beary)

Well, having spent the whole summer working on the RTS pack. Thought it was time for a change, at least of a sort. I'm going to have a go at game in a day using the RTS packs current form as a starting point. *crosses fingers that most bugs really are taken care of* Its in a really close to beta form these days, so I'm hoping that I can either not run into or avoid any outstanding issues that may arise. Despite some testing throughout the developement process, nobody really tried to make a game from the ground up (least of all in 24 hours). So hopefully I can find any snags and maybe clean things up and streamline them before ship (though not during GID, I'm only one man).

Preperations are more or less complete. I checked out the newest updates to the RTS code base, and made a seperate copy to have my dirty way with. Then I queued up 23:50:49 worth of music in winamp, randomized the list, and turned repeat off. Figure that will give me as good an idea as any about how much time is left. Plus an interesting "oh shit silence" feeling at the end. I'll try to keep track of how my time is spent too, but I'm liable to forget for hours at a time if I get working on something.

Now to just decide if I should start at midnight (30 minutes hence), or just go to bed and start when I wake up. Tough call as either could back fire. I'm pretty alert now, but a bit tired. At the same time I know there will be a bit in the morning where I'm worthless. I think that I'll work tonight til collapse or near and then sleep a bit. I'll try to keep you all informed...

Glad you got home safely! :)

Will be very interested to see how things turn out... I sure hope there aren't any major bugs left. :)
