Plan for Thijs Sloesen

Afternoon everybody.
I finally took the big step... I went down to the Chamber of Commerce here in Rotterdam and I registered my company. So even though I have lots and lots of work to do before it will be up and running, I am kind of proud to present to you:
Scattered Studio
I was actually trying to register the company name as Scattered Studios, but unfortunately the law seems to state that a name like that is not allowed unless the company has multiple physical addresses. They say I am a Studio, not Studios. I tried to explain to them that a name like this is very common in the game industry, but no luck.
I guess I'll have to see it as a challenge then: it seems as if I have to earn the name by growing my business so big that eventually I will need more offices so I can finally bare the name I have in mind for this company. It's a bit weird, but ahwell.. what's in a name, right?
Anyway, on my todo list:
- Write a business plan
- Get a system for bookkeeping set up
- Work on my FPS game as seen in my previous .plan
- Work on the game design document of the first commercial project I have lined up for my company

Thanks for the offer, but business administration is part of what I studied. So I *should* be able to get things done without too much pain (well I hope anyway ;). Anyway, yeah it's an eenmanszaak. Guess I'll start with some OpenOffice spreadsheets to get things running :)
You're from Dordrecht? Thats indeed pretty close :)
I'm wondering... is it possible that I once read an interview with you on a gamers website here in Holland? I think I did...

Well if bookkeeping is your thing go for it dude :) but you can actually do it very simple for a "eenmanszaak".
Well best of luck to you and your bussiness keep me informed on how you are doing.

I don't plan to make it any more complicated than required hehe. If I wanted to become a bookkeeper I would have studied accountancy if you know what I mean ;)
Thanks a lot and I'll keep you posted.

Congrats dude, don't think to complex on the bookkeeping stuff. If your working as a "eenmanszaak" don't make it hard on your self it could be very simple.
If I can help you with anything let me know i'll see what i can do for you.
