I have gotten quite a few requests for this model:

You can get it here
This is a very simple low polygon player that uses character studio for the skeleton and works with the default animations. I have included the Max file (max5) and the DTS file. He uses segmented shapes for the body parts, and he is really low poly so there is not a big performance hit if you have tons of them out in your world.
The material is self illuminated, so he does not shade. He shows up quite well in just about any environemnt. We find him quite useful for quick prototypes.

Seriously though, I know this seems like a simple resource but as you said, if you need to prototype something (like 100's of these guys running around like pedestrians in GTA) it's a great help.
Now all we need is "Blue Torque Girl" to go along with it.

Thanks Joe! This rocks. I can imagine entire empires of games built up around "Blue Torque Guy" now. I dropped him into a Realm Wars build and he kicked the Orcs butt and ran off with the Elf Sorceress. He also laid waste to the Space Orc in the TSE demo.Seriously though, I know this seems like a simple resource but as you said, if you need to prototype something (like 100's of these guys running around like pedestrians in GTA) it's a great help.

I've got a version of this model in the Blender file format that is compatible with the default animations. Would it be OK with you if I distribute it along with the Blender dts exporter as an example model? Since the file is based on your original Blue Guy .dts, I thought I'd ask you first to avoid any legal issues.
