I still possess my planet-level size obession with torque. But now is the time to put our game project together.
With pure motivation and learning from the threads and emails I receive from this great community.
Me and my rag-tag team is ready to bring our own RPG Sci-Fi World Aden Legacy to life with a few modifications.
Goals are still the same but reduced.
1. Aden will still possess its full game functionality but it will reside for now within a standard mission area.
"Props to Samme Ng for his game which shows we dont need to build a planet "yet hehe" to convey our idea of the gameworld.
2. While the tools we possess are all currently commercial "CS4. Lightwave 7.5. etc., We're looking at the current tools in the opensource and freeware markets.
"Mainly because Joshua Ritter is a constant reminder of what is capable of that stuff with the work he has done" Plus we can't wait to see thier game too :)
3. My brother is determine to learn Scripting and leave the C++ part to me.
"We seen what has came out of pure script and C++ solutions and it will always amaze us. Melv, and John Bob the Builder kabus, John V., etc has Put out some great resources.
The CG guys themselves. Ben has answer a lot of stuff. Great sites like Stefan's and info like Desmonds terrain stuff. and now the Book that Kenneth F has put all.
There are a couple of great Sci-fi torque base games I like even if I havent played them yet LOL. Deep Space legends, Epic Frontiers.
And Last but not the least Anyone who helped me please remind me so I can give the proper props or "brownie points LOL" where they belong.
John H.
Ok this concludes my update. "Procedural Torque 2.0" heh
