Plan for Keith Johnston

I just finished a game called "Beyond Good and Evil" for the Playstation 2. This game is definitely one of the best computer games I have ever played. What makes this game great? Interestingly, I can't put my finger on any one thing. The graphics, the music, the gameplay, the story - everything just clicked.
It is interesting that having worked on a game (TubeTwist) - I now can appreciate even more the level of effort that goes into a game like BG&E. This game took 30 people 4 years to make. Does this discourage me as an indie? Not really - I think that it helps you figure out what to shoot for. There is no way as an indie you could make a game as large and big in scope as BG&E - but there are certainly elements of the game that could be done by an Indie.
Anyway, if you get a chance, check out BG&E - I think it has something for everyone.

I agree about bgae. It was a simply brilliant game. Unfortunetely it flopped sales wise so i doubt we will see a sequel.
