Plan for Adam Beaumont

More progress on the projectb game 'backbone' - I've implemented quite alot over the last couple of weeks. The IRC and MOTD stuff works pretty much ok now and I've made a start on the in game stats logging. I've been getting to grips with a bit of PHP and MYSQL and it seems really cool. I don't want to get too distracted with it but it's suddenly alot clearer how some of the cool things I've seen on websites are done !
I've started testing in dedicated server mode and so far everything is holding together pretty well. Weapon pickups are working (tho I only have two different weapons at the moment) and kills and score logging seems to be ok.
All this is aiming towards a testable release that I can send out to a few people and get some feedback on. I'm aiming to have it ready by the middle of Jan and I have a couple of people lined up in the US and the UK who have said they'll help out with the testing.
I'm still hoping that by early Jan I'll be able to put some screenshots together and get something up in the snapshot gallery. At the moment it's all programmer art - Gryff probably won't get started on the pretty models until we're a bit further down the development road. We also don't have a real name for the project but I guess thats not hugely important just yet!
