Plan for Nicolas Quijano

Today is my last day of rushing and running around before taking a few planes to Eugene, Oregon tomorrow morning :)
--> getting Mac and PC builds out to the artist and to the project leader, packing, buying a very nice bottle of wine for the people I'll be staying with, not forgetting to print song lyrics and copying the song's mp3s to my mp3 player...
You know the drill :)
A whole week over there, culminating with IGC2003, officially a vacation, in fact, a "work retreat", hehe 8p
I'm really glad I'm not going as press this year, but strictly as an indie game dev. The only dark spot is that our Proof of Concept build is nowhere close to be ready to be shown at this point, so I'm not bringing it with me.
anyhow, enough rambling and looking forward to see all of you in a few days down in balmy Eugene (yes, I said balmy as it's been feeling like late October, if not November for more than a week here in Montreal :))
Keep on Torquin' in the free world !

On a sadder note, an acquaintance of mine hung himself yesterday and one of my best buddies is quite affected by it, as they were quite close friends and had been partners in various projects around Medieval Live role playing and battle re-creation in the mid to late 90s. This is a very, very sad happening... :(
Spare a thought for his mother who found him, and if you have faith, you know what to do
I'm now way behind all the stuff I had to to today, 'cause I stayed longer than I had planned at my friend's house as he needed to talk and vent about Martin's sudden departure...
I hope you rest in peace Martin
Weird how something like this still affects you even if you barely knew the guy...
See you all real soon

Yeah, I'm trying to get in touch with the artist to get his latest assets so I can take some shots tonight, or barring that, have it on my ibook with a Mac build, since I'll be playing with the rendering during my "work retreat...On a sadder note, an acquaintance of mine hung himself yesterday and one of my best buddies is quite affected by it, as they were quite close friends and had been partners in various projects around Medieval Live role playing and battle re-creation in the mid to late 90s.
