Plan for Justin Mette

Wow, now I haven't had a vacation like that in a while. I seriously must have wiped out entire globs of brain matter with that unbelievable Canadian beer it just goes down so smoooooth :)

Now that I'm back from vacation and digging into the workload, I realize that the IndieGamesCon is only like 6 or 7 weeks away. Where the heck did the time go? Ok so were going to be scrambling to get ready for the conference - but if it anything like last year, it will be worth it 10x over!

One exciting development for IGC this year is the IndieJam on Friday night. Imagine a whole bunch of geeks/musicians learning a handful of songs in the comforts of home and then flying to Eugene, drinking some beers, and jamming together for the first time. That ought to be worth the price of the conference tickets right there :)

Seriously, the IndieJam does look likes it's going to happen after all. We're just assembling the band now and selecting some songs to learn. If you are interested in participating (even just to suggest songs), please send me an email to justin.mette@21-6.com.

Note that no recording devices will be allowed on the premises during the show and there is a 6 drink minimum to enter the bar.

6 drink minimum? That's a little hefty! And no recording devices? What, no chances at blackmail?! :-)

As for where the time went... gee, it goes fast when yer' loafin' around on Vacation, Justin! ;-) (I only say that cause I did the same thing two weeks before ya in Colorado :-) Hope ya' got good and de-toxed from work!

6 drinks? Does that apply if you're under 21, or is this a "big boy" event? ;)

If you are listed as being in the band but have not yet recieved any emails related to the IndieJam - please send me an email at justin.mette@21-6.com.

I used the email addresses listed in your GarageGames profiles and some of them are bouncing. For example, Nicolas - your email address doesn't seem to be working - can you send me an updated address?

Ben - under 21 eh? I hadn't considered that scenario. We need to find some way of making the performance sound better to you that it really is :)

What if we're supposed to be in the band and we're under 21? Is that an issue?

We've set up with the venue to card at the bar so we should be fine with those under 21 - the rest of us will have to prove our age (unless like you're old like me)...
