This ole PC

Sadly, it turns out that my motherboard (Asus A7M266) just will not support an Athlon XP 2100+ =\ So, for the moment, the 2100+ is in my newly constructed suitcase PC. Soon I will pop for a shiny new motherboard =)
Constructing the suitcase PC was fun if hot work. The humidity in my area (South-East US) was absolutely killer last night. And with all of the metal and saw dust flying about, I couldn't work inside in the AC. I made a few mistakes and ended up drilling a good dozen holes I will never use but all-in-all it went well. At some point I plan to purchase another suitcase and do it right with the knowledge and experience I have gained from this stab. Eventually, I might add some cooler bells and whistles like a retractable power cord and a mounted lcd screen but I have a feeling that won't happen on this version.
I got it to boot last night but I need to make a couple more of revisions before I start to install Windows. I got these cool looking glowing blue fans from CompUSA and I have to say they look really nice with the shiny aluminum. I am beginning to understand why a lot of guy sspend so much time and money working and modding cars. I could easily see myself doing the same with computers. Probably my next challenge will be to see how tiny I can build a full pc.
Unfortunately, something I did in my efforts to make my motherboard compatibile with the 2100+ has borked my main computer so I am first going to have to spend time putting it back the way it was tonight.
Since my old Challenge thread has been revived, I have decided to set myself a goal of thinking up one creative game idea a day (*Note that I didn't say "original"). Feel free to join me in this if you like. I am just trying to get my creative juices flowing better =)

all your micro PC idea's brought to life..
I'm still trying to find a way to put a PC inside a huge car engine (not a complete one for weight reasons, but basically a shell of an aluminium block, complete with moving pistons).
I love case modding. Havent setup a full workshop yet though. I plan on doing that over the next 6 months or so.
