Plan for Eli McClanahan

I've been in a huge rut lately. The backstory is just done as far as I'm concerned, and I really don't have anything to draw concept art of for RW. I get increasingly annoyed as I get a little better and then see something someone drew that crushes my tiny dreams of being decent.
I wonder if that stupid cowboy picture I had taken years ago when I was a senior in high school is being used as my portrait...
As you can see, I have little to do, so I've begun to write a pretty detailed tutorial on how to map using the in-game editor. There're plenty of these I think, but they only describe what the tools do, not how to use them effectively.
I'll update it as I go, since I don't have any experience with some of the new add-ons RW doesn't have yet. Aside from that I've been creating terrains like a madman. I keep getting better, and my terrains keep getting more variating, but I still don't have any structures or map-specific things to make my maps interesting. It's kind of depressing, in a mapping sort of way.
Meanwhile, I've been searching for a job for a year now with no results. So many interviews, so many lost calls. Now that is depressing, especially since I only have 20 dollars in both my banking accounts now. If I don't get paid for something very quickly I'm going to be drawing concept art of trash cans.
So, uh... that's it. Tutorial, mapping progress, etc. Right now I'm working on a map that places the players above the clouds on high ridges with little area for movement. I'm going to place a trigger nearby under the heavy cloud bank so that if you fall, you die immediately. With the new pushback feature in hand to hand, that'll work out nicely I hope. But right now, the terrain is done I can't figure out what to put on the map. Right now it's just two flags (a CTF map again) and some of my little trademarked red and blue markers. Aside from that, nothing else makes sense. All we have are buildings, and why would there be a village sitting on top of a mountain in the middle of nowhere?
Oh well... I've just got all sorts of problems. Excuse me while I sigh in dismay.
