New Job + New Game Project

High time I updated this .plan file.
First off, I have a new job, not as a programmer, but a cool job none the less. I landed a gig with the primary Apple Certified service house in Dallas. In short, I get to rip apart lots of shiny broken things, and render them unbroken. Love it. Also, the job lets me get out & around town quite a bit, and is occasionally rather physical. I enjoy it, for now. It amuses me.
I've also gotten with a new game dev team, and God help them, I'm the Lead Programmer. We are racing to get a prototype of the game out, hopefully show it to some people and get the go-ahead.
I like the project because it will appeal to a wide audience, and because it is a 'doable' project. Not another FPS. I love FPS, but they take a huge amount of time & expertise to do well, and the competition is fierce.
I'm confident we'll make our deadlines, we just got another programmer on the team, who has taken over cvs. He's shown himself to be a very competant cvs admin, and just about wrote the book on Torque scripting. So I'm jazzed to have him along.
I've got 1.5 weeks to get a semi-playable proto, and 4 to get a showable demo. hooboy.
