The Tribes games are about teamwork in a massive enviroment. The games delivered on this. But all in all they didn't focus that much on the individual player.
The project I'm currently working on requires more detail on that level. I've allready modified the Torque skeletal animation code to enhance swordfighting animations. I've added hitboxes to the players and vehicles themselfs, to give a deeper level in gameplay. Currently I'm working on adding damage skins to the player models, so it can be seen where they've been hit.
I've also added the ability to light players on fire, and embed projectiles in the players, vehicles, and static objects.
All of the above has been my own work.
