Plan for David "RM" Michael

As of today, 31 January, 2003, our Paintball Net project is on hold until 7 April, 2003.
The New Year has proven incredibly busy for all of the project team. We have someone taking a new job and having to move, another one who may be taking a new job and moving, one who's had a housefire, one with a new book contract, and so on. Busy beats bored...but it can sometimes be very overwhelming.
The Paintball Net project isn't dead, not by a long shot. All of the team members are still devoted to seeing it finished. But just about all of us have other responsibilities that make an unfunded, free-time project take a backseat.
Part of that, for Dug & I particularly, is the need to update our current game, Artifact. Two weeks ago we overhauled the payment structure completely, and now we're working on new awards, new units, and so on. Artifact didn't get much attention in 2002, and we're trying to make up for that now. (Ironically, the original Paintball Net had much the same affect during Artifact's development.) With the changes we've made so far, Artifact can now remain online indefitely. With the other new additions, the game should have a very good year this year, and help us get Paintball Net finished.
Have fun, everyone!
