Plan for Djaggernaut

by Ben "Djaggernaut" Chavigner · 01/21/2003 (9:47 am) · 14 comments

Ok, some time have passed since my first plan.

How things are evolving now?
I'm actually student in a French art school, learning a lot!

I've launched my game devlopment studio, it will be a portal for all the game I'm working on, my portfolio, portfolio of ppl I'm working with, artist friends, developpers, etc...
www.geckostudios.org/
The site is not totally operationnal yet.

Here is a pic of a character done for Smash Breakers, an arcade volleyball game (really arcade).
www.geckostudios.org/images/kil_f.jpgAnd an other project, called Speedwar:

I'm also working with Patrice, on a commercial game. It's secret for now, but you can see more infos on the available game here: www.phelios.com
It's a really interesting project!

Artoxia is pursuing its way, development is restarting, the mod will be developped for Doom 3, so we've got a little time to have first art.

I've joined a really cool and ambitious project too, called Planeshift: www.planeshift.it
There will be a public release really soon. (3 weeks)
Here is a screenshot, it's simply wonderful:

And finally, I'm working with GEMA on some games, but can't say more about this ;) Oh, just one thing, actual demo are really cool.

I think that's it, thanks for reading. :)

As an avid volleyball player since the late 80's (but not so much now that I live in cold weather) I am looking forward to seeing Smash Breakers come to completion. Looks good. I'm pretty sure I've played against the character you modeled.

Whoa, beau travail Djagg, superbe !!! :) (le reste en anglais ;))
Planeshift is using Crystal Space ?? So that shot is from CS, or is it a rendering ??
Looks real good nonetheless...
Good stuff :)

It's a game screenshot, yep from CS. But this is not a personal work but a PS team work, I'm just starting contribution, but it seems they like it. I can't show anything for now cause I'm on non disclosure agreement... BTW, models are great too :) This is an open source game and it will really kick ass. Probably as good as hard to join :)

Thanks!
Yep, RW needs some artwork like this, but the lead artist, main author of this level design has 15 years of 3D experience! :)

Yep James, student, and actually the youngest of my school, I'm 18. It's sometimes a bit hard to be respected ;)

Looks great, Djagg!

I can't believe that's the CS engine, either!

Do you have any models in some of those screenshots? I know the Smash Breakers one you did.

Except the planeshift sshot, I've made all content (geckostudios webdesign, full texturing mousedrawn landscape of Speedwar) :)
