Plan for Jeff Ward

Well I hear about Bloob on monday. So nervious.
Anyway, after a small break, I'm going to start doing things again. I've been working on MFC programming for possible integration with JWRuby after I change some of the rendering and message processing in it. In the process, I've been writing a tutorial on MFC called "MFC Made Hard" which is a summary of how to do MFC without wizards. I can't stand some of the wizard generated code, and I feel better about my code when I know what's actually going on. The tutorial is for those of you that a) feel like me or b) want to know more about what else can be done with MFC.
On top of that, plans have begun for a possible Torque game. There are a few things I have to work on first though. Our preproduction phase includes getting our hands on a secure CVS server, something that's posing to be a problem. It also includes learning Torque and (for a few of us) learning 3D programming. On top of that a few of us are overworked, making development hard. So you won't see any details on the game for quite a while.
Lastly, I have an interactivity class this semester, and one of the projects is a Director game. As part of an honors project I'll also be doing a second Director game using more advanced features the class doesn't cover. I'll post both of those games when I finish and they're polished.
