Plan for Melv May

Our small team have been really busy over the holiday period on Strategem and we're taking really major steps forward towards our deadline of end of March beta.

All will be revealed as we approach March with screenshots and possibly a little teaser-demo, we'll just have to see how busy we are around that point.

Our modeller is working on our huge model requirements whilst the coding commences independently. I'm glad that we spent a month on a design doc, the result is that we've managed to rip through the code at a pretty amazing pace. New scripted mod, new multi-texture lit skinned GUI controls are done, more versatile Canvas object with customised transitions, new player object, new camera object, multi-player networking up and running, creature-farm system and much more.

The team has still got lots to do such as record all our creature sounds/sound bits plus music score, 2D artwork, finish models, finish animations etc. We're also going to be creating a web-page but that has taken as back seat as it's not as important as creating a game. It will be sorted in the next few weeks though.

We're pushing each other as much as we dare to meet the deadline. We promised we'd get it to a beta by end of March and we intend on delivering if it's possible.

Just like to say thanks to David Wyand from GnomeTech for adding us to his GG Master Server monitor or as we would call it in Strategem, the "Central Nexus". :)

That's about it really, all I can say is that you're in for a real treat!
