Plan for Alvaro F. Celis

Since I got involved with real time engines I've always wanted to use them for architectural visualization and walkthrus. Unfortunately, all of them got to a point from which there was no further develoment possible. TGE allowed me, even I'm not a programmer, to cross the barrier from being just an engine user to become the owner of a world (a virtual one), and even though at the beginning you may feel powerless in front of the engine, if you go through the resources, little by little, you begin to grow. Right now I'm in a point in which I got all the energy, ideas, knowledge and resources to make a dream come true. There's a project which I'm working on to join 2 important universities of my city through a path that runs across some beautiful landscapes and mountains. I had planned to present the project in traditional 3d animation with 3dsmax, but the beauty of the terrain engine, the amazing skyboxes, the dynamic lights and (most important), the chance of participating with the environment rather than being just an spectator made me change my plans today. I want to go with the realtime engine (yours!!!) and recreate this path, the mountains, the buildings, and generate anew experience in feeling 3d spaces. I know there's a lot to do yet but I'm planning to develop the project in stages from a sketch and then perfecting it. I'm creating everything around the example application (I'm still not experienced enough to mess around with the source code) since I already got it personalized for what I need. The biggest problem I was facing was creating the dif objects, but working with worldcraft and Quark I got over this gap. I must say that the community is a very big help. I hope to have some screenshots soon.
Merry Christmass and a happy new year!!!

Dear Jeff:
Thanx a lot for your comments.
It's alreday Jan 05-03 and I haven't been able to stop reading and learning from the forums. The community more than being that I would call it a brotherhood. I feel at home here.
I already configured Hammer and Quark to work with TGE and they work sweet!
I remember some time ago writing you an email to tell you I was dissapointed of the Engine. Well my Dear Jeff, I must apologize adn withdraw my words. TGE is the best thing to happen in my life with regard to 3d graphics and it's been the best money I ever invested in anything. You can grow with it as much as you want to.
I already posted a screenshot of my first architectural project (hope you saw it) and I'll try to contact Desmond to learn some more from him.
Thanks a lot for your help.
