Wow... IGC sounded like quite the blast... Wish I had the funding to go to it.. Oh... The joys of being unemployed, living with your parents, and carless.

Anyway, I am currently working on a little 2d game. I'm not completely sure what the "type" of game is... I have been told it is similar to asteriods. In anycase, it isn't much, just working on it to learn and have a little practice organizing a team. Aside from the myself, there is one graphic designer and one musician/sound effects person working on the project. Both are very talented individuals who have greatly improved the game.

At the moment I do not have any pictures of the game itself, but I posted a beta on our site if anyone would like to check it out. NOTE: I am currently working on quite a few of the basic features (menus, animations, highscores, etc) so consider this beta as a barebones copy. :)

I know it isn't much, but everyone starts somewhere. :) I plan on getting a license to torque soon then beginning work on 3d projects. Hopefully I can post about a 3d project soon. :)

BTW, If anyone of you would like to, I could really use some people to test the game out. Drop me a line at madsenm@sigfig.com or message mattmadsen on irc.maxgaming.net (I'm usually idling in the GG channel).

Hi Matt,

Cute game. I'm not sure there is any market for a Space Invaders clone, unless it's for cell phones, maybe.

The only beef I had with it was I had to press every key to figure out how to get started. ;-) a simple line at the bottom of the main screen would be nice.

Good luck on it! :-)

Yeah when I add the menus that will not be so much of a problem. I plan on having a configuration option, etc.

I'm not planning on marketing the product, just using it to kill some time and learn a bit. :)

BTW, long time no see trav.

Oh also forgot, most of the graphics are still in beta stages- the artist wanted to know if I liked the concepts. I also haven't added any of the music/sound effects the musician has made for me (or is making). As I mentioned, this copy is very barebones. :)
