Plan for Pontus Munck

Our little PocketPC game The Death of Stars has now been in development for about 3 months. We've spent on average maybe one or two days per week during this time coding the game and we now have a pretty nice prototype nearly finished. I think that is pretty good! :)
The game is a turn based RPG/Strategy hybrid taking elements from games like Warcraft, Heroes of Might & Magic and adding its own twist of futuristic game play to the mix. We have a rudimentary combat system in place and a silly computer AI opponent who will chase you over the map if you're not careful. It's far from a complete game, but I think it shows potential.
This rapid development time has proven to us that the .NET platform is really a viable choice for game development and that the .NET Compact Framework is worth a look if you want to develop for the PocketPC. Of course, you sacrifice some of the raw performance for this, but as long as your game is comfortable with that you can certainly cut development time radically.
As I have now switched jobs I have less time for this project which is unfortunate. I hope we can still manage to finish it some time in the future though!
